Oblong Trail Association
about
Join us and explore places you've never seen and learn about local nature on our unique network of trails filled with beautiful plants and trees indigenous to our area.
Due to land sales over the past years, we have lost access to several trails. We are actively reaching out to new land owners to establish new trails to increase the number of linked trails. If you are interested in having an OTA trail on your property, or know of someone that is, please contact us!
The OTA promotes safe, responsible trail riding, cross country skiing, and hiking. The natural trails committee has developed a working relationship with the local conservation group to lead interpretative walks along selected trails.

Trails
The OTA currently has 3 types of trail systems:
-
Trails that the landowners have agreed to let stand on their property for as long as it is feasible. This is agreed upon by a "handshake". Both parties understand that the trail is subject to change or discontinuance conditional on land use and property resale. These trails can be used by riders and walkers alike throughout the year.
-
Established trails that are only used for specific events.
-
A new trail might be minimally established for a specific event. Usually this type of trail is used to connect two other properties. This trail is for the event use only unless the land owner wishes otherwise.
